OUR PASTOR

Rev. Dr. Curtis J Haynes has been pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church since 1998 (14th years). He is devoted to God, his family, and the well-being of all members of the Body of Christ. Dr. Haynes has dutifully applied his ministerial gifts in teaching, preaching, and administering the Word of God. He is the founder of Family Life Ministries, a Biblical Based Marriage Seminar for Couples.


Dr. Haynes is Immediate Past President of the North Pacific Baptist Convention, a Washington State Association of 24 churches. He served as Dean of Christian Education, for the Ebenezer Baptist District Association, of Kitsap, Pierce, and Thurston Counties, Washington, from 1994 to 1997. He was Moderator of 10 churches of the Ebenezer Baptist district Association from 2001 to 2004.


Dr. Haynes, a native of Georgia, was reared by his grandmother the late Mrs. Notrie Kalip. In 1997, he married his lovely wife, Miss Emmajean McIntire Haynes, the daughter of the late Deacon and Mrs. McKinley McIntyre Jr. They have been married for 35 years. They have three sons Curtis J McKinley Haynes, Sean Christopher Haynes, and Michael Alexander Haynes.


He joined the Navy in 1975 and rose to the rank of Lieutenant in the Submarine Force. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Savannah State University (Savannah, Georgia), and a Honorary Doctorate from Faith Seminary, Tacoma, Washington
. He was ordained as a Deacon in 1985, Licensed to Preach in 1986, and Ordained as a minister in 1990.


Dr. Haynes is a lifetime member of the Kingdom of Heaven, and is always seeking to do God’s Will, while getting people ready to see Jesus.

Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church strives to unite all believers in Christ into a common faith for the purpose of promoting the Kingdom of God in the earth through the teaching and the preaching of the Gospel in keeping with the command and the teachings of Jesus Christ as written in the New Testament.
